Response to the above listed RFP resulted in a total of nine responses from four different Vendors. Per the
instructions within the RFP Taney County Road and Bridge Coordinator Randy Haes assigned two of his Team
Leaders with the most experience with Bucket Trucks as well as himself - with assistance from Purchasing - to
form an Employee Evaluation Panel. Said Panel met to complete a very thorough review / evaluation of all the
information submitted by each Vendor - on each unit. A mathematical “factor” to determine exact scores for two
parts of the four scoring criteria - submitted prices as well as submitted mileage was used and is listed above.
The completed Evaluation Summary Sheet above reflects the fact that one Vendor, Utility Fleet Sales, submitted
four units with two scoring in the top three. Utility Fleet Sales scored the highest with a 2000 GMC C7500
having the lowest Bid price as well as achieving an overall score of 87% out of a possible 100%.
The Panel recommended sending an employee from Road & Bridge to Texas to inspect said unit in person and
if it meets the needs of Taney County - purchase accordingly. The T an ey C ounty C om m ission m ade a
m otion to award - contingent on a sa tisfactory in person inspection, to Utility Fleet Sales on the
2000 GMC for $37,480.08 , said m otion passed unanim ously.
