Thursday July 19, 2012: The two above responses to this RFP were opened publicly and read aloud at
the Taney County Courthouse Commission Hearing Room. However, the County Commission did not
take action at that time due to the Planning & Zoning Adm inistrator Bob Atchley being out-of-state. An
agenda item was set for him to appear before them on Monday July 30, 2012.
Monday July 30, 2012: Based on information delivered by Mr. Atchley the Taney County Commission
made the decision at a public meeting this morning to continue the RFP recommendation for the CDBG
Adm inistrator until such time that official CDBG approval is received. (FEMA approval.)
Thursday January 3, 2013: This morning State Hazard Mitigation Officer for the Missouri State
Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) informed us that FEMA has approved Taney County’s Hazard
Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP) application for the on-going Taney County voluntary, residential flood
buyout. An agenda request was then made to make a formal recommendation for award.
Thursday, January 10, 2013: The Taney County Commission held a Public Hearing, in order to allow for
the selection o f a CDBG Adm inistrator for the County’s on-going voluntary, residential flood buyout,
based upon above listed RFP. Though the County Commission found both candidates, as listed above,
to be extremely well qualified and competent in CDBG administration, Micky Davis of EM Fusion, LLC
(formerly State & Local Emergency Management Consultants) was recommended based primarily upon
the fact that Mr. Davis has already completed the necessary documentation for the FEMA Hazard
Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP) that will in turn be utilized for the completion of the flood buyout CDBG
application process.
The Taney County Commission made a motion to award as such and it passed unanimously.
