THE OCTOBER ADJOURN TERM
The County Commission met in the Commission Hearing Room at 8:59 a.m. with Ron Houseman, Danny
Strahan and Jim Strafuss present. The following proceedings were had and made a matter of record:
EEZ RESOLUTION REVISION
Commissioner Houseman stated the Commission had been informed by the Department of Economic
Development that the Commission would need to sign another document that had already been approved but the
wording has been reconfigured. Commissioner Strafuss stated it was clarification on how members were
selected.
Commissioner Strafuss moved to adopt and approve the EEZ Resolution with changes as presented dated
December 13, 2012. Commissioner Strahan seconded the motion. Let the record show it needed to be noted
within the document that particular board members were selected by other organizations outside of this
Commission and/or Presiding Commissioner. The motion carried by vote: Houseman (aye), Strahan (aye), and
Strafuss (aye).
AGENDA REQUESTS REVIEW
Nikki Lawrence came before the Commission to review agenda requests.
EXECUTIVE SESSION - LEGAL UPDATE PER SECTION 610.021 (1) (2) (3) (12)
Commissioner Strafuss moved to go into Executive Session pursuant to RSMo 610.021(1) (2) (3) (12).
Commissioner Strahan seconded the motion. The motion passed by roll call vote: Houseman (aye), Strahan
(aye), and Strafuss (aye).

2013 BUDGET DISCUSSIONS
COMMISSION CONFERENCE ROOM
The Commission discussed Departments they would like to meet with; Sheriff, Collector, Public Administrator,
Prosecuting Attorney, Juvenile, Coroner, Circuit Clerk, Health Department, Senior Services, and Animal
Control.
The #136 Animal Control Account was discussed. The Commission directed Mrs. Lawrence to schedule Mr.
Berry to come in to discuss this budget. No motions were made at this time.

The #130 County Planning and Zoning Account was discussed. The Commission directed Mrs. Lawrence to
schedule this department to come in to discuss this budget. No motions were made at this time.
The #133 County Extension Council Account was discussed. The Commission directed Mrs. Lawrence to
schedule this department to come in to discuss this budget. No motions were made at this time.
The #135 County IS Account was discussed. No motions were made at this time.
Commissioner Strahan exited the meeting at 2:52 pm.

2013 BUDGET DISCUSSIONS (continued)
The Commission continued the #135 County IS Account discussion. They came to the amount o f $359,424.84
as the starting point for this 2013 budget. The Commission directed Mrs. Lawrence to schedule this department
to come in to discuss this budget. No motions were made at this time.
The #137 Emergency Management Account was discussed. No motions were made at this time.
Commissioner Strafuss moved to adjourn. Commissioner Strahan seconded. The motion passed by vote:
Houseman (aye), Strahan (aye), and Strafuss (aye).
