The County Com m ission m et in the Com m ission H earing Room at 9:19 a.m. with Ron
Houseman, and D anny Strahan. Jim Strafuss was absent. The following proceedings w ere had
and made a m atter o f record:

Bid Opening Parking Garage BID

Engineer Paul B lack P.E. w ith H ood-Rich incorporated and Engineer hired to oversee the
Em ergency Parking G arage R epair was present to help review and assist with the bids for
parking garage repair.
Ron Erickson, Purchasing Officer explained that the bid was to repair the damage to the parking garage.
The first bid opened was from Mid Continental Restoration Company in Fort Scott Kansas, with a grand
total of $6620.00. The second bid opened was from Carson Mitchell Engineers and Builders located in
Springfield, MO. Ron Erickson stated that they supplied required copies and signatures; they submitted a
bid for a total of $7000.00. The third and final bid was from MTS Contracting in Springfield, MO for a
total of $7100.00. Ron Houseman asked if there were any other expenses to be incurred such as travel
or mileage. Ron Erickson stated that they would not be able to submit any other changes for room and
board or travel. Ron Houseman asked what the time line for starting on the project would be for each
company. Ron Erickson stated that MTS would begin work within 10 days of bid award, 15 days of
award for Carson Mitchell, and Mid Continental Restoration Company would complete the work within
30 days of bid award. Mr. Black said the work should take about one week. Ron Houseman asked for a
recommendation. Paul Black stated that he knew of all three companies and they were all qualified, and
that he would have no reason not to accept the lower bid. Mr. Black and Mr. Erickson both agreed that
there was no need to include clean up in the bid as the Road and Bridge Department could handle the
clean up as it would be very little. Danny Strahan motioned to accept the bid from Mid Continental
Restoration Company. Ron Houseman seconded the bid. The m otion passed by vote: Housem an
(aye), Strahan (aye), and Strafuss (absent).

Court Orders
Danny Strahan motioned to approve Court Order 20131258, 20131248, 20131249, 20131263, 20131247,
20131261 Ron Houseman seconded the motion. The m otion passed by vote: H ousem an (aye),

Executive Session
Danny Strahan motioned to go into Executive Session pursuant to Missouri Revised Statue: 610.021.1, 2,
3, and 12 Ron Houseman seconded the motion. The m otion passed by vote: H ousem an (aye),

 Budget Hearings
The Taney County Com m ission reconvened in the Com m ission Conference Room at 2 :14pm to
discuss the budget. Com m issioners m et w ith Jam es Strahan and John Soutee. N o m otions were
made.
