THE OCTOBER ADJOURN TERM
The County Commission met in the Commission Conference Room at 8:30 a.m. with Ron
Houseman, Danny Strahan and Jim Strafuss present. The following proceedings were had and
made a matter of record:
2013 BUDGET DISCUSSION
Mike Scofield was asked to come before the Commission to discuss the #120 Juvenile Account.
The Commission informed Mr. Scofield of the procedure for the 2013 Budget was to take the
amount approved for 2012 and add the salary increases; and that would be the starting point for
each account. Discussion ensued regarding line item increases/decreases.
No motions were made at this time.
Prosecutor Jeff Merrell was asked to come before the Commission to discuss the #119
Prosecuting Attorney Account. The Commission informed Mr. Merrell of the procedure for the
2013 Budget was to take the amount approved for 2012 and add the salary increases; and that
would be the starting point for each account. Discussion ensued regarding salaries and line item
increases/decreases.
The Commission directed Mr. Merrell to look into the contracted employees and to work on a
salary issue.
No motions were made at this time.

Commissioner Strafuss is absent.
Collector Sheila Wyatt was asked to come before the Commission to discuss the #107 Collector
Account. The Commission informed Mrs. Wyatt of the procedure for the 2013 Budget was to
take the amount approved for 2012 and add the salary increases; and that would be the starting
point for each account. Discussion ensued regarding salaries. The #850 Account was also
discussed by line item.
No motions were made at this time.
The Commission discussed the #126 Circuit Clerk Account. They will schedule Circuit Clerk
Brenda Neal to meet with them next week.
Commissioner Strahan moved to adjourn. Commissioner Houseman seconded. The motion
passed by vote: Houseman (aye), Strahan (aye), and Strafuss (absent).
