Thursday November 1, 2012: The Taney County Commission met in reference to the above listed RFB. After opening
responses from the above listed companies a motion was made to allow a time for a thorough review of all information
packages as received from each by Randy Haes & David Stottle of the Taney County Road & Bridge Department. The
Commission requested that after said review a recommendation be made as soon as possible. Subsequent to a
thorough review of all the detailed pricing offered, a recommendation was made to award as follows;
Trux Trailer & Tractor, Inc of Springfield, Mo. – as Primary and Armor Equipment of Arnold, Missouri as Secondary.
This recommendation, which allows for a Secondary Vendor, is based on a “MUST” stipulation that both trailers are
delivered by the Primary - within, but not later than approximately 90 days, as offered within the Bid Response. As a
small buffer period, we will allow a few extra days based on 31 days in December & 31 days in January as well as it
being the Holiday season and the fact that February 1 falls on a Friday.
Therefore the absolute deadline for delivery is: Monday February 4, 2013. If for whatever reason delivery is not made
by that date Taney County may engage the Secondary Vendor without the need to re-bid. As a reminder we hope to
have these trailers delivered and operating well before then. A letter of intent will be issued today via email to ensure
Vendor can begin the ordering process, etc.- as soon as possible and meet this deadline.
The Taney County Commission made a motion to award as such and it passed unanimously.
Thank you.

Director of Purchasing
