OFFICIAL MINUTES
SEPTEMBER 6, 2012, 2ND DAY OF
THE SEPTEMBER ADJOURN TERM

The County Commission met in the Commission Hearing Room at 9:01 a.m. with Ron
Houseman, Danny Strahan and Jim Strafuss present. The following proceedings were had and
made a matter of record:

AGENDA REQUESTS REVIEW

Nikki Lawrence met with the Commission to review agenda requests.

COUNTY AUCTION DATE

Auditor Rick Findley went before the Commission to discuss the County Auction date. Mr.
Findley in discussion with Sherriff Jimmie Russell said first part of October would work best.
The Commission requested Rick Findley contact the Sherriff to determine the date and notify the
Commission.

LETTERS OF SUPPORT FOR THE GREENS II & CHURCH ARMY

Commissioner Houseman read the letter of support for the Greens II. Commissioner Strafuss
moved to postpone the letter of support for the Greens II to a definite time of 10:15 a.m.
Commissioner Strahan seconded the motion. The motion passed by vote: Houseman (aye),
Strahan (aye) and Strafuss (aye).

Commissioner Houseman read the letter of support for Church Army’s attempt to receive
funding. Commissioner Strafuss moved to approve the support letter for Church Army.
Commissioner Strahan seconded the motion. The motion passed by vote: Houseman (aye),
Strahan (aye) and Strafuss (aye).

EDUCATION FOR RESPONSIBLE CITIZENS FORUM DISCUSSION

Commissioner Houseman received a letter for a Citizens Forum. Commissioner Strafuss said he
would attend. Discussion would be reposted.

FALL CLEANUP

Kathy Roberts with Road and Bridge went before the Commission to discuss Fall Cleanup. The
date would be September 28th and 29th, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Any questions would be
answered at 546-7268. Proof of residency would be required. No household hazardous waste
would be taken. Discussion ensued.

LETTERS OF SUPPORT FOR THE GREENS II

Discussion ensued regarding the Greens II. Commissioner Strafuss moved to approve the letter
of support for the Greens II project to be submitted to the Missouri Housing Development.
Commissioner Strahan seconded the motion. Commissioner Strafuss stated 49 applicants were
waiting for the 40 units to be built. An email would be sent confirming that information. The
motion passed by vote: Houseman (aye), Strahan (aye) and Strafuss (aye).

COMMISSION PRELIMINARY BUDGET DISCUSSION

The Commission noted that their portion of the 2013 Budget requests needed to be submitted to
the Auditor by September 10. Differences between 2012 versus 2013 were discussed. Rentals
and grants were discussed. Housing prisoners from other counties was discussed. Auditor Rick
Findley went before the Commission to discuss Airport Revenues. Law Enforcement Sales Tax
was discussed. FEMA Reimbursement and CDBG were discussed.

EXECUTIVE SESSION – PERSONNEL PER SECTION 610.021(3)

Commissioner Strafuss moved to go into Executive Session pursuant to RSMo 610.021(3).
Commissioner Strahan seconded the motion. The motion passed by roll call vote: Houseman
(aye), Strahan (aye), and Strafuss (aye).
