This REVISED Bid Tabulation Form reflects a significant cost savings for Taney County by using WCA despite the distance factor. The critical area revised is specific to mileage
costs after adjusting to use ACTUAL USAGE of fuel. The previous calculations used the same cost per gallon amount, $3.02, but incorrectly multiplied that by total miles. These
corrected figures – again using actual gallons of fuel used – indicate true savings at all three volume levels with WCA. (TOTAL COST PER TON.) That stated it is still desired that
we include Allied as a destination when backed up given their proximity. Based on these calculations the Presiding Commissioner asked for the Taney County Commission to
reconsider a previous motion. Commissioner Strafuss moved to reconsider the vote of August 20th, bid number 201207-191, a motion was made and it passed unanimously.
Commissioner Strafuss moved to award bid number 201207-191 to WCA and Allied Waste, the awarding of services to be determined by the amount of savings per ton to the
county. Said motion passed unanimously.
Thank you.
