Thursday May 24, 2012: The Taney County Commission met in reference to the above listed RFB. After
opening responses from the above listed companies a motion was made to allow a time for a thorough
review of all information packages as received from each by Road & Bridge Coordinator Randy Haes.
The Commission requested that after said review a recommendation be made at 11:00 AM today.

Subsequent to a thorough review of all the detailed pricing offered, Mr. Haes recommended the low Bid
as received from Highway Safety Solutions - listed above – to be awarded as “Primary” and the other
Vendor, James H. Drew Corp., as “Secondary”. Mr. Haes noted that James H. Drew has provided Taney
County with Rock Drilling Services and has done a very good job in that area. He has concern that if the
Primary Vendor has problems in this area we would not have a back up. Therefore he requested The
Taney County Commission to designate James H. Drew Corp. as “Secondary”. As the Director of
Purchasing I agreed with this recommendation which we submitted to the Taney County Commission. A
motion was made to award as such and it passed unanimously.
