OFFICIAL MINUTES
DECEMBER 30, 2011, 34th DAY OF
THE OCTOBER ADJOURNED TERM

The County Commission met in the County Clerk’s Office at 3:59 p.m. with Ron Houseman
present and Danny Strahan and Jim Strafuss via teleconference. The following proceedings were
had and made a matter of record:

PAYROLL AND BENEFITS

Discussion ensued regarding employees who had not had an opportunity to take their vacation by
the end of the year. Commissioner Strafuss moved to allow unused vacation hours for those
unable to use as approved by the elected official overseeing the employee based upon the
Auditor’s certification that those hours are owed and extend them for 90 days. Commissioner
Strahan seconded the motion. The motion passed by vote: Houseman (aye), Strahan (aye) and
Strafuss (aye).

APPROVAL OF ACCOUNTS PAYABLE

Commissioner Strahan moved to approve the treasurer’s bond payment. Commissioner Strafuss
seconded the motion for discussion. The motion passed by vote: Houseman (aye), Strahan (aye)
and Strafuss (aye).

RECONVENED
4:13 PM

Commissioner Strahan said Elected Officials could not let overtime occur if the County was to
stay within their budget. Commissioner Houseman said he was going over a number of issues
with Budget Director Rick Findley and one issue not reviewed by the Commission was the sewer
district budget in light of the agreement recently signed. The subject would be reposted for
Thursday.

Commissioner Strafuss moved to adjourn. Commissioner Strahan seconded the motion. The
motion passed by vote: Houseman (aye), Strahan (aye) and Strafuss (aye).
