The Taney County Commission met today in reference to the above listed RFP. After opening responses
from all of the above listed companies a motion was made to return at 2:PM today for a thorough review
of all information packages as received from each.
Subsequent to that thorough review and detailed discussions a motion was made to award this project to
The Taney County Business Development Partnership / Branson Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce,
whereafter the vote to do so was unanamous. Although all four responses contained the necessary
requirements - response #1 was the only response that, in addition to everything else, included first hand
knowledge, familiarity, and the ability to immediately set in motion an existing scope of services program
specific to the region. At the same time work begins data already compiled will be used thus saving time
and money. Given these circumstances the Commission recognized the timing advantage the County
would realize by making this choice.
