OFFICIAL MINUTES
May 24, 2011, 20th DAY OF
THE APRIL ADJOURN TERM
The County Commission met in various locations and via telephone at 8:45 am with Ron
Houseman, Danny Strahan and Jim Strafuss present. The following proceedings were had and
made a matter of record:
EMERGENCY SITUATION – JOPLIN ASSISTANCE
An email from FEMA was received by the Commission requesting assistance from the Road &
Bridge department in clearing debris in Joplin, MO following the tornadic devastation of May
22, 2011.
Commissioner Strafuss moved to send up to ten dump trucks, two back hoes, and two track hoes
to be used at the discretion of Road and Bridge, specifically Harlan and Randy Haes.
Commissioner Strahan seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously.
The commission directed Nikki to coordinate accommodations for the work crew to be in Joplin.
They stated that the crew would be leaving at noon and would stay in Joplin thru Friday, May
27th.
