RFB# 201109-153 (HAZ-MAT Suits) Results;
This morning, October 20, 2011 the Taney County Commission voted unanimously to award RFB#
201109-153 (HAZ-MAT Suites) to: Alex Air Apparatus, Inc. 11897 County Rd. 87 SE Alexandria, Mn.
56308. Alex Air Apparatus met all requirements within the RFB and submitted a TOTAL COST TO THE
COUNTY BID of: $2,245.00 per each Trellchem hazardous materials suit.
NOTE: Alex Air Apparatus was the only company to respond to this RFB.
The Commission discussed options concerning the lack of Bid Responses and decided that due to the
uniqueness of this product and the fact that direct Bid invitations had been sent out, they instructed that
we proceed with this Bid Opening and the one Bid response was opened, read, and awarded after a brief
discussion.
