OFFICIAL MINUTES
November 05, 2010, 14th DAY OF
THE OCTOBER ADJOURN TERM
The County Commission met in The Commissioner’s Hearing Room at 8:01 AM with
Chuck Pennel via phone conference, Chuck Pennel entered the meeting at 8:21 A.M.,
Danny Strahan and Jim Strafuss present. The following proceedings were had and made a
matter of record:
PLANNING & ZONING CODE BOOK REVIEW
Eddie Coxie has contacted every first class county to see how their code book compares
to our code book. The clay county code book seems to be very user friendly,
modifications needed. Discussion ensued.
ADMINISTRATIVE AND DEPARTMENTAL FUNCTION
ANIMAL CONTROL
Jim Berry and Robert Niezgoda discussed Animal Control funding, renewals and budget
with the Commission.
Commissioner Strahan moved to accept the Animal Control Budget as presented.
Commissioner Strafuss seconded the motion. The motion passed by Pennel (nay),
Strahan (aye), and Strafuss (aye).

The Sheriff asked to speak to the Commission on a personnel matter related to an event
that took place overnight. The County Commission agreed to hear the matter without the
statutory notice due to the possible need for immediate action.

Commissioner Pennel moved to go into Executive Session pursuant to RSMo. 610.021
(3). Commissioner Strafuss seconded the motion. The motion passed by roll call vote:
Pennel (aye), Strafuss (aye) and Strahan (aye).

OZARK REGIONAL ECONOMIC PARTNERSHIP MEETING
Jeff Sieford briefed the Commission on the name change for the Ozark Regional
Economic Partnership. The new name is Springfield Regional Economic Partnership.
They want to become a business development lead partner. Commissioner Strahan asked
Jeff to provide the list of Taney County participants.

Presiding Commissioner Pennel declared a recess.
