OFFICIAL MINUTES
November 12, 2010, 17th DAY OF
THE OCTOBER ADJOURN TERM
The County Commission met in The Commissioner’s Hearing Room at 8:30 AM with
Chuck Pennel, Danny Strahan and Jim Strafuss present. The following proceedings were
had and made a matter of record:
ADMINISTRATIVE & DEPARTMENTAL FUNCTION
PLANNING & ZONING DISCUSSION W/MUNICIPALITIES
Mayor Potter addressed the Commission regarding a common sense approach regarding
zoning around schools and no dirty industrials.
Mayor Presley addressed the Commission on our status on the planning and zoning code
book.
Mayor Presley is seeking some type of over site around the cities, as we build the code
book, to better serve the citizens.
Discussion ensued.

PLANNING & ZONING CODE BOOK REVIEW
Eddie Coxie gave a copy of draft code book amendments and briefed the Commission on
the re-write of the planning & zoning code book.
Division 1 (Residential Homes, Garages) and Division 2 (Commercial Office Buildings)
Division 3 (Projects) permits were discussed.
All three Commissioners agreed to hire help, for review of the Clay County Code Book.
Eddie Coxie was directed to put EGIS on alert of a possible meeting w/the Commission
on Nov. 17, 2010. Discussion about the time will be addressed in the Monday morning
meeting.

duplexes and duplex concerns.
