OFFICIAL MINUTES
August 25, 2010, 21st DAY OF
THE JULY ADJOURN TERM
The County Commission met in The Commissioner’s Hearing Room at 1:00 PM with
Chuck Pennel, Danny Strahan and Jim Strafuss present. The following proceedings were
had and made a matter of record:
PARKS WORK SESSION
The Commission reviewed an email from Jon Hiser of DNR reviewing the possibility of
leasing the K Dock and Kissee Mills Parks from the Corps.
Frank Preston addressed environmental concerns about the toilet facilities during
flooding and illegal dumping.
COUNTY-WIDE AUCTION
The Commission discussed the current list of County vehicles that may be included in the
Auction.

The Commission continued discussion on the County Auction.
Commissioner Strafuss moved to direct Linda Gifford to send a Request for Proposal
letter out to auctioneers who are licensed and can operate in the County. Commissioner
Strahan seconded the motion. The motion passed by vote: Pennel (aye), Strahan (aye)
and Strafuss (aye).
AIRPORT ROAD LETTER
The Commission discussed whether they wanted to draft a Letter of Support for the
acquisition of the airport road and send it to Kevin Keith at MODOT.
ENGINEERING ROLE FOR ZONING CONTRACT
Eddie Coxie discussed the next step in the zoning process and the code book with the
Commission.

TURN KEY MOBILE ADDENDUM #2 & #3
Commissioner Strafuss moved to approve Addendum #2 & #3 for grant number TCSO
012510. Commissioner Pennel seconded the motion. The motion passed by vote:
Pennel (aye), Strahan (aye) and Strafuss (aye).
Presiding Commissioner Pennel declared a recess.
