June 23, 2010, 42nd DAY OF
THE APRIL ADJOURN TERM
The County Commission met in The Commissioner’s Hearing Room at 9:00 AM with,
Chuck Pennel, Danny Strahan and Jim Strafuss present. The following proceedings were
had and made a matter of record:
APPROVAL OF PAYROLL
Commissioner Strahan moved to approval payroll as follows:
GCR: 111160, 111184 – 111200
RB: 111162 – 111178
AF: 111161, 111179 – 111181
TS: 111182
911: 111183
Manual Warrants: 5229 – 5230
Accounts Payable: 320239 – 320256
Commissioner Strafuss seconded the motion. The motion passed by vote: Pennel (aye),
Strahan (aye), and Strafuss (aye).
AIRPORT BID OPENING
Bishops Construction bid $165,698.43 and APAC bid $241,406.26 for the airport
repaving project. The bids will now go to bid analysis and will be brought back to the
Commission with a recommendation.
BRADLEYVILLE DISBURSEMENT OF FUNDS
Rick Findley said the Bradleyville funds came in separately. All but about $300 were
road and bridge funds.
Commission Strahan move to have a petition distributed on how to spend the other (non
Road and Bridge) funds in Bradleyville. Commissioner Strafuss seconded the motion.
The motion passed by vote: Pennel (nay), Strahan (aye), and Strafuss (aye).
The Commission decided to wait on distribution of the Road & Bridge funds until they
hear from Frank Preston on the roads inside the former Village of Bradleyville that were
in the county maintenance system before Bradleyville was incorporated.
DNR LETTER – CLEAN AIR
Commissioner Strafuss moved to table the DNR letter until 11:30 am today.
Commissioner Pennel seconded the motion. The motion passed by vote: Pennel (aye),
Strahan (aye), and Strafuss (aye).

Commissioner Pennel move to have Commissioner Strafuss to contact the ownership
banks related to the easement on the property on the west end of the east/west corridor
route. Commissioner Strafuss seconded the motion. The motion passed by vote: Pennel
(aye), Strahan (aye), and Strafuss (aye).

The Commission agreed that this will be posted for action in the near future.

COMMISSION OFFICE BUILD OUT
The Commission directed Renee to begin changes in the office configuration in the
Commission’s offices totaling about $1,500.00.
MAINTENANCE ON COURTHOUSE ROOF
The recorder is willing to pay for some roof repairs. Renee has an estimate of $6,000.00.
Renee will get a price for fixing the leak in the hallway as part of the job and bring it
back to the Commission.
The Commission agreed by 3 head nods to move the tabled DNR issue to Friday.
Presiding Commissioner Pennel declared a recess.
