OFFICIAL MINUTES
June 11, 2010, 36th DAY OF
THE APRIL ADJOURN TERM

The County Commission met in The Commissioner’s Hearing Room at 8:30 AM with
Chuck Pennel and Jim Strafuss present, and Danny Strahan absent. The following
proceedings were had and made a matter of record:

AGENDA REVIEW

Commissioner Strafuss moved to approve the June 14, 2010 Monday Morning Agenda as
presented. Commissioner Pennel seconded the motion. The motion passed by vote:
Pennel (aye), Strahan (absent) and Strafuss (aye).

TIGER 2 GRANT

Commissioner Strafuss began a discussion on the Tiger II Grant and current planning for
it.

Frank Preston presented his list of suggested projects to use the funds for.

Spencer Jones with Great River Engineering shared his knowledge of the Tiger I grant
results and made suggestions to the Commission for their approach to the Tiger II grant
applications.

Tom Ryan with HDR Archer Engineering shared his knowledge of MoDOT Tiger II
grant planning. He stated the possible costs of the grant application with an economic
analysis of County Projects could be around $75,000.00 depending on the project.

TANEY COUNTY AIRPORT – PARKING LOT ISLAND HAZARDS

Commissioner Strafuss discussed possible vehicle damage liability issues with old light
pole islands at the Airport.

The Commission directed Frank Preston to remove the islands.

REIMBURSABLE EXPENSES
Commissioner Strafuss discussed the need for a maximum amount to be set for
reimbursable meal amounts during work-related travel. He referred to the U.S. General
Services Administration Meals & Incidental Expenses (M&IE) amounts for reimbursable
levels.

Commissioner Pennel asked that Elected Officials be contacted and asked for their input
on setting a maximum spending amount.

LANDSCAPING BIDS

The Commission discussed landscaping ideas with Renee Brusca and Linda Gifford.
They directed Linda to put the landscaping project out for bid.

Presiding Commissioner Pennel declared a recess.
