OFFICIAL MINUTES
May 11, 2010, 20TH DAY OF
THE APRIL ADJOURN TERM
The County Commission met via teleconference in The County Clerkâs Office at 9:00
AM with, Chuck Pennel and Jim Strafuss present, and Danny Strahan absent. The
following proceedings were had and made a matter of record:
ADMINISTRATIVE & DEPARTMENTAL FUNCTIONS
HICKORY STREET WATER LINE
John Soutee spoke to the Commission about the proposed water line replacement on
Hickory Street. He informed the Commission that the project would provide a cost
savings of $72,750.00 resulting from the elimination of two flow meters, two manholes,
and a reduction in the sewer line length and the cost of associated water line repairs.
Commissioner Strafuss moved to approve the water line extension as recommended by
the Sewer Board. Commissioner Pennel seconded the motion. The motion passed by
vote: Pennel (aye), Strahan (absent), and Strafuss (aye).
Presiding Commissioner Pennel declared a recess.
