OFFICIAL MINUTES
April 16, 2010, 8th DAY OF
THE APRIL ADJOURN TERM
The County Commission met in The Commissioner’s Hearing Room at 10:45 AM with
Danny Strahan, Chuck Pennel and Jim Strafuss present. The following proceedings were
had and made a matter of record:
STAFF DEPARTMENTAL MEETING – MAINTENANCE
The Commission discussed the plan for outside lighting removal around the new Judicial
Center.
Renee discussed the possible improvements of the Extension Center Office roof. The
Commission agreed to do a tour of the outside lights and the Extension roof in a couple
weeks.
PHONE TARIFF WORK SESSION
Kent Vanderpull with the Taney County Ambulance District discussed Senate Bill 966
which, if passed, would provide funding through a monthly wireless tax for emergency
services. He suggested the Commission go ahead with a currently approved 15% County
tariff increase.
Sheriff Jimmie Russell expressed his opinion to hold off on the tariff increase until Bill
966 comes to a vote.
The Commission discussed the need for educating the public on the Save 911 effort.
INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT
Commissioner Strafuss moved to table the intergovernmental agreement issue until 2:00
pm, April 16, 2010. Commissioner Pennel seconded the motion. The motion passed by
vote: Pennel (aye), Strahan (aye) and Strafuss (aye).
PROPOSED RESOLUTION FOR COLLEGE OF THE OZARKS
Commissioner Strahan moved to accept the Resolution as presented by College of the
Ozarks. Commissioner Strafuss seconded the motion. The motion passed by vote:
Pennel (aye), Strahan (aye) and Strafuss (aye).
CLEAN DIESEL GRANT
Commissioner Strafuss moved to table the grant approval until 2 pm. Commissioner
Pennel seconded the motion. The motion passed by vote: Pennel (aye), Strahan (aye) and
Strafuss (aye).
Presiding Commissioner Pennel declared a recess.

The County Commission met in the Clerk’s Office to discuss the tabled grant agreements
from earlier in the day, with Chuck Pennel present, and Danny Strahan and Jim Strafuss
present via teleconference.
TABLED INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT
Commissioner Strafuss moved to accept the Intergovernmental Agreement with
grammatical corrections for $200,303.00 to Cody Software. Commissioner Pennel
seconded the motion. The motion passed by vote: Pennel (aye), Strahan (aye) and
Strafuss (aye).
TABLED CLEAN DIESEL GRANT
Commissioner Strafuss moved to accept the Clean Diesel Grant as revised and presented
for $14,069.57. Commissioner Strahan seconded the motion. The motion passed by
vote: Pennel (aye), Strahan (aye) and Strafuss (aye).
Presiding Commissioner Pennel declared a recess.
