OFFICIAL MINUTES
March 8, 2010, 29th DAY OF
THE JANUARY ADJOURN TERM

The County Commission met in the The Commissioner’s Hearing Room at 9:00 AM with
Chuck Pennel and Danny Strahan present, and Jim Strafuss absent. The following
proceedings were had and made a matter of record:

APPROVAL OF MINUTES

Commissioner Strahan moved to approve the minutes of 3/1, 3/2 and 3/3/2010.
Commissioner Pennel seconded the motion. The motion passed by vote: Pennel (aye),
Strahan (aye), and Strafuss (absent).

ACCOUNTS PAYABLE

Commissioner Strahan moved to approve the following accounts payable, journal entries
and transfers. Commissioner Pennel seconded the motion. The motion passed by vote:
Pennel (aye), Strahan (aye) and Strafuss (absent).

PUBLIC COMMENT

Assessor James Strahan requested the County Commission’s support for the 2nd Annual
OACAC Basketball Game and Pie Auction. He challenged all the elected officials to
enter a pie.

NATURAL GAS IN TANEY COUNTY

Larry Lacy with Great River Associates introduced David Moody, new CEO of Southern
Missouri Natural Gas. Mr. Lacy presented maps of the project to the Commissioners and
discussed easement needs.

Assessor James Strahan asked for information on the assessment of the natural gas line.
Mr. Moody and Mr. Lacy agreed to provide him with further information on the taxation
classifications.

NUISANCE CASES

Commissioner Pennel moved to send the following nuisance cases to the Prosecutor:
#08-0024, #04-126 and #04-122. Commissioner Strahan seconded the motion. The
motion passed by vote: Pennel (aye), Strafuss (aye) and Strahan (absent).

Commissioner Pennel spoke regarding the upcoming Spring Cleanup, April 16-17, 2010.

Commissioner Pennel announced that tomorrow at 11:00 am there will be a Census tour
at the IMAX in Branson, and stressed the importance of completing Census forms for
grant monies, State representation and schools.

Presiding Commissioner Pennel declared a recess.
