OFFICIAL MINUTES
FEBRUARY 24, 2010, 24th DAY OF
THE JANUARY ADJOURN TERM
The County Commission met in The Commissioner’s Hearing Room at 9:30 AM with,
Chuck Pennel, Jim Strafuss and Danny Strahan present. The following proceedings were
had and made a matter of record:
ADMINISTRATIVE & DEPARTMENTAL – APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Commissioner Strafuss moved to approve the minutes for 2/19 & 2/22/10. Commissioner
Pennel seconded the motion. The motion passed by vote: Pennel (aye), Strahan (aye), and
Strafuss (aye).
PATRICIA DOOLEY – SENIOR TAX LEVY PETITION
The Commission discussed petitions signatures that might be required in order to put an
issue on the countywide ballot.
The Commission directed Pat Dooley to bring 750 signatures with the collecting person
to be notarized by May 3 in order to put the issue on the August 3rd, 2010 ballot.
STAFF DEPARTMENTAL MEETING – IDA
Discussions of the status on projects and job description of Executive Director was held
with Joan Chowning, Cy Murray and Tim Connell.

DIRT AGREEMENT
The issue will be reposted so Frank Preston can be here when it is discussed.
SEWER BOARD – APPOINTMENTS
Nathan Easley, Pat Barnett, Rob Johns, and Roy Combs are names that have been
considered for the Sewer Board Vacancies. Also Jon Derby showed some interest.
The Commission agreed to wait for at least another week to consider Sewer Board
appointments.
Presiding Commissioner Pennel declared a recess.
