OFFICIAL MINUTES
FEBRUARY 10, 2010, 18th DAY OF
THE JANUARY ADJOURN TERM

The County Commission met in the Commissioner’s Hearing Room at 8:00 AM with,
Chuck Pennel, Jim Strafuss, and Danny Strahan present. The following proceedings were
had and made a matter of record:

Commissioner Strafuss moved to go back into Executive Session from tabled session on
2/8/10 pursuant to RSMo. 610.021. (1), (2), and (3). Commissioner Pennel seconded the
motion. The motion passed by roll call vote: Pennel (aye), Strafuss (aye) and Strahan
(aye).

HR & INSURANCE UPDATE

Tim Connell and Lynette Weatherford of Connell Insurance presented the workers
compensation insurance renewal for this year 2010.

Worker’s compensation attorneys that specialize in working only for the employer
(Harmison & Pearman Law firm of Springfield), will represent Taney County and our
worker’s compensation insurance company as a service provided by Connell Insurance.

Connell Insurance said that a disaster planning firm will come in and set up a plan for the
County for no cost.

Lynette Weatherford presented a summary of the meeting on 1/27/10 concerning the
employee policy manual. The manual has not been ratified in the minutes since it was
presented in October 2008. Lynette will update the manual by working with Jim Strafuss
and then present the manual for ratification by the Commission in the future.

REVIEW OF TANEY COUNTY FINANCIAL STATEMENTS

Donna Neeley, County Clerk presented the County Financial Statements for approval by
the Commission.

Commissioner Strafuss moved to approve the 2009 Financial Statements as presented by
the County Clerk. Commissioner Pennel seconded the motion. The motion passed by roll
call vote: Pennel (aye), Strafuss (aye) and Strahan (aye).

Missouri, and I, Donna Neeley, county clerk of Taney County, certify that the above and foregoing is a complete and correct
statement of every item of information provided by the Auditor Rick Findley (required in section 50.815, RSMo), for the year
ending December 31, 2009, and we have checked every disbursement of every kind and to whom and for what each
disbursement was made, and according to Rick Findley Auditor each receipt and disbursement is accurately included in the
above and foregoing totals.

Commissioner Strafuss moved to appoint Kelly Trimble to the BOE for a 1-year term
expiring 12/31/2010. Commissioner Pennel seconded the motion. The motion passed by
vote: Pennel (aye), Strafuss (aye) and Strahan (aye).

Presiding Commissioner Pennel declared a recess.
