OFFICIAL MINUTES
JANUARY 25, 2010, 11th DAY OF
THE JANUARY ADJOURN TERM
The County Commission met in The Commissioner’s Hearing Room at 9:00AM with,
Chuck Pennel, Jim Strafuss, and Danny Strahan present. The following proceedings were
had and made a matter of record:
Helen Soutee opened the meeting with prayer followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Commissioner Strahan moved to approve minutes for 1/19, 1/20, & 1/21/10.
Commissioner Strafuss seconded the motion. The motion passed by vote Pennel (aye),
Strahan (aye), and Strafuss (aye).
APPROVAL OF ACCOUNTS PAYABLE
Commissioner Strahan moved to approve accounts payable and transfers as follows
except for Checks # 318098, & # 318127:
Checks: 318075 – 318174
Warrants: 5156
Commissioner Strafuss seconded the motion. The motion passed by vote: Pennel (aye),
Strahan (aye) and Strafuss (aye).
PUBLIC COMMENT
There were no public comments.
HPRP – 1ST QUARTER STATISTICS
Alan Catron from Christian Associates presented a 4th quarter review of the
Homelessness Prevention program’s progress.
David Danford talked about the Faith Community Health Center which will have a clinic,
pharmacy and dental clinic on 6th Street in Branson. The Grand Opening will be in March
or April. The Center’s phone number is 417 – 336-WELL (9355).
BOARD APPOINTMENTS – SEWER
Commissioner Strahan and Commissioner Strafuss have received calls of additional
people interested in serving on the sewer board and the Commission decided to repost for
next week.
POSTAGE MACHINE/MAILROOM
The Commission discussed alternatives to staffing the mailroom or buying a postage
machine for the Circuit Clerk.
Sheila Wyatt said that we have problems with the present postage machine and we do not
have a maintenance agreement on the machine.

Commissioner Strafuss moved to go into exec Session pursuant to RSMo. 610.021. (1)
(2) (3). Commissioner Pennel seconded the motion. The motion passed by roll call vote
Pennel (aye), Strahan (aye), and Strafuss (aye).

Commissioner Strafuss moved to go out of Executive Session. Commissioner Strahan
seconded the motion. The motion passed by roll call vote Pennel (aye), Strahan (aye), and
Strafuss (aye).

Commissioner Strahan left the meeting at 12:36 PM and rejoined by teleconference.
Commissioner Strafuss moved to table the afternoon sessions until 8:00 AM tomorrow
morning. Commissioner Pennel seconded the motion. The motion passed by vote:
Strafuss (aye), Pennel (aye) and Strahan by teleconference (aye).
Presiding Commissioner Pennel declared a recess.
