OFFICIAL MINUTES
December 16, 2009, 37th DAY OF
THE OCTOBER ADJOURN TERM

The County Commission met in The Commissioner’s Hearing Room at 9:00AM with,
Chuck Pennel, Danny Strahan and Jim Strafuss present. The following proceedings were
had and made a matter of record:

VERIZON CONTRACT

Commissioner Strafuss will visit with the Sheriff and Road & Bridge departments with
particulars of the proposed new plan and then get back with the Commission.

ADMINISTRATIVE & DEPARTMENTAL FUNCIONS
DIRT AGREEMENTS

Commissioner Strafuss moved we approve the dirt agreements for Joey Aldridge
(MODOT), Glen Campbell, Paul Harkins, and David Junge. Commissioner Strahan
seconded the motion. The motion passed by vote: Pennel (aye), Strahan (aye), and
Strafuss (aye).

HILLTOP ROAD EASEMENT

This is a sight line issue on Kenneth Severson’s property. Frank Preston will gather more
information concerning any need for fencing and bring the information back to the
Commission.

COON CREEK PROJECT

The Commission instructed Frank Preston to go ahead and have the 3M-product striping
for the triangle portions change order prepared in order to comply with MODOT
requirements.

PAVEMENT REHABILITATION

Frank Preston presented issues concerning maintenance of paved roads and the related
budget needs.

PAVEMENT REHABILITAION

The Commissioners determined that they want to look at Road & Bridge 2011 budget and
balances forward and analyze what has happened in recent years to decrease the funds
balances before reconsidering the pavement maintenance program.

DRAINAGE PROBLEM OFF OF HIGHWAY 248

The Commission instructed Randy Haes to go to Highway 248 drainage problem and talk
about the concept of an easement with no commitment on the part of the county.

Presiding Commissioner Pennel declared a recess.
