OFFICIAL MINUTES
December 15, 2009, 36th DAY OF
THE OCTOBER ADJOURN TERM
The County Commission met in The Commissioner’s Hearing Room at 8:30AM with,
Chuck Pennel, Danny Strahan and Jim Strafuss present. The following proceedings were
had and made a matter of record:
BUDGET 2010
Commissioner Pennel moved to maintain Joan Chowning at $36,000, grant writer at
$15,000, executive director at rate of $60,000 per year and legislative liaison at $7,500
for 2010 IDA budget. The motion died for lack of a second
Commissioner Strafuss moved to go into Executive Session pursuant to 610.021.
(1)(2)(3). Commissioner Pennel seconded the motion. The motion passed by roll call
vote: Pennel (aye), Strahan (aye), and Strafuss (aye).
EXECUTIVE SESSION

Commissioner Strafuss moved to go out of Executive Session. Commissioner Pennel
seconded the motion. . The motion passed by roll call vote: Pennel (aye), Strahan (aye),
and Strafuss (aye).
OUT OF EXECUTIVE SESSION
9:55 AM
Commissioner Strafuss moved to adopt the 2010 IDA budget at $127,500 Gross
Expenditures as presented in the modified budget spreadsheet. Commissioner Strahan
seconded the motion. The motion passed by vote: in favor Strahan (aye), and Strafuss
(aye) and opposed Pennel (nay).
Presiding Commissioner Pennel declared a recess.
