OFFICIAL MINUTES
December 11, 2009, 34th DAY OF
THE OCTOBER ADJOURN TERM
The County Commission met in The Commissioner’s Hearing Room at 8:15AM with,
Chuck Pennel, Danny Strahan and Jim Strafuss present. The following proceedings were
had and made a matter of record:
Commissioner Strafuss left the meeting temporarily at 8:18 AM.
YANDELL COVE ROAD EASEMENTS
Commissioner Strafuss returned to the meeting at 8:25 AM.
Commissioner Strahan moved to accept the easements that Randy Haes presented from
Dean A. and Janice E. Donat, Gary L. Issacs and Katria R. Issacs, George and Monica
Scism, Stacey L. Sullivan, and Robert A. and Connie M. Baker and Darryl J. Clark.
Commissioner Strafuss seconded the motion. The motion passed by vote: Pennel (aye),
Strahan (aye), and Strafuss (aye).
AGENDA REVIEW
The Commission reviewed upcoming agenda items with Nikki Lawrence.
Commissioner Strafuss moved to accept the agenda for Monday as presented.
Commissioner Pennel seconded the motion. The motion passed by vote: Pennel (aye),
Strahan (aye), and Strafuss (aye).
MISSOURI RURAL SERVICES WORKERS’ COMPENSATION INSURANCE
TRUST
Commissioner Strafuss moved we accept the membership for 2010 for Taney County in
the Missouri Rural Services Workers’ Compensation Insurance Trust. Commissioner
Pennel seconded the motion. The motion passed by vote: Pennel (aye), Strahan (aye), and
Strafuss (aye).
CID – SET HEARING DATE
Commissioner Strafuss moved we set the Branson Creek CID hearing date as January 11,
2010 at 9:00 AM. Commissioner Pennel seconded the motion. The motion passed by
vote: Pennel (aye), Strahan (aye), and Strafuss (aye).

ADMINISTRATIVE & DEPARTMENTAL FUNCTIONS
James Strahan reported on the BOE actions and the manual actions needed to put the
BOE actions into the tax book for 2010. Since it will have to be done manually, it will
take 5 people and some time to complete the 2010 book. James said there are about
15,700 properties that will need to be entered.
Donna Neeley explained why she wanted the Supplies and Freight line in Account 103
for the 2010 budget adjusted from $35,000 to $60,000. The Commission said they would
be working on the budget next Monday starting at 11:05 AM.
Commissioner Strafuss reported that Boyce Construction wants to pave on Sunday on
Coon Creek Project. The Commission consensus is that would be OK in order to meet the
deadline.
Presiding Commission Pennel declared a recess.
