OFFICIAL MINUTES

November 13, 2009, 22nd DAY OF
THE OCTOBER ADJOURN TERM

The County Commission met in The Commissioner’s Hearing Room at 8:00AM with,
Chuck Pennel, Danny Strahan and Jim Strafuss present. The following proceedings were
had and made a matter of record:

HEALTH INSURANCE – TABLED FROM YESTERDAY

The Commission discussed the different offerings of insurance and transition issues if
plans were changed. The Commission also discussed the potential savings of changing
plans for the County. The Commission consensus was that a decision could be made next
Monday after getting answers to more questions. The Commission sent an email to
employees for input regarding the potential change.

AGENDA REVIEW

Rick Findley, County Auditor requested that the dental insurance funding question be put
on the Monday Agenda.

Commission Strafuss moved to approve the Monday Morning Agenda as presented.
Commissioner Pennel seconded the motion. The motion passed by vote: Pennel (aye),
Strahan (aye) and Strafuss (aye).

Presiding Commissioner Pennel declared a recess.

STAFF DEPARTMENTAL MEETING

Road sign requested for road at Cedar Point by Tammy Hagler – will work with Road &
Bridge to find a name for the road and post it for a vote by the Commission.

TRANSPORTATION NEEDS

Dan Watts of SMCOG (Southwest Missouri Council of Governments) presented the
SMCOG Taney County Transportation Needs priorities as set by SMCOG to the
Commission.
Buddy Roberts and David Miller are our Taney County TAC members that participate in
SMCOG.

The Commission discussed the purpose and effectiveness of the SMCOG needs list and
its effectiveness on MODOT funding of projects.

ADMINISTRATIVE & DEPARTMENTAL FUNCTIONS

The Commission is getting email feedback concerning impending change to the Health
Insurance coverage for 2010.

The Commission discussed using some of the extra street lights to put on Shorty Cooper.

Presiding Commissioner Pennel declared a recess.
