OFFICIAL MINUTES
November 6, 2009, 18th DAY OF
THE OCTOBER ADJOURN TERM
The County Commission met in The Commissioner’s Conference Room at 7:30 AM
with, Chuck Pennel, Danny Strahan and Jim Strafuss present. The following proceedings
were had and made a matter of record:
HOMELESSNESS MONTHLY REPORT
Commissioner Strafuss presented the monthly report.
Commissioner Strahan moved to approve the October Monthly report on homelessness
prevention. Commissioner Pennel seconded the motion. The motion passed by vote:
Pennel (aye), Strahan (aye), and Strafuss (aye).
Rick Findley, County Auditor asked about getting a copy of the Homelessness Prevention
monthly report for the County’s files. Linda Gifford will need a copy as she is
administrating the Grants. The Commission decided to make a copy for the Clerk’s files
also.
AGENDA REVIEW FOR MONDAY
Commissioner Strafuss moved to approve the agenda as presented for Monday Morning
meeting. Commissioner Pennel seconded the motion. The motion passed by vote: Pennel
(aye), Strahan (aye), and Strafuss (aye).
Y HIGHWAY SEWER PROJECT ISSUES
The Commission discussed citizen complaints and issues that have been observed on the
project and what actions need to be taken.
ASSESSOR DEPARTMENT FUNDING
Commissioner Strahan moved to fund the expenses of the assessor’s office to
12/31/2009. Commissioner Strafuss seconded the motion. The motion passed by vote:
Pennel (aye), Strahan (aye), and Strafuss (aye).
Presiding Commissioner Pennel declared a recess.

RECONVENED
8:17 AM
The Commission reconvened in the Commissioner’s Hearing Room with all three
Commissioners present.
EGIS ENGINEERING – PLANNING AND ZONING
Eddie Coxie of Planning & Zoning and the Commission reviewed the Classes of Districts
document that EGIS has prepared for review and changes.
EGIS will work with the P&Z board to refine the Classes of Districts in a document to be
presented by P&Z Board to the Commission for adoption.
WELLNESS CENTER
Commissioner Strafuss presented a list of items that needed to be done to do a minimum
completion of the basement not to exceed $7,871.00. To convert to a wellness center will
need to add shower and change space with re-use of lockers at a minimal cost of
$3,500.00. An aerobics/Pilates area will need a floor mat with TV for aerobics
instruction.
Commissioner Strafuss will instruct Linda Gifford to begin the minimal completion of
the basement area.
Presiding Commissioner Pennel declared a recess.
