OFFICIAL MINUTES
October 15, 2009, 7th DAY OF
THE OCTOBER ADJOURN TERM
The County Commission met in The Commissioner’s Hearing Room at 8:35 am with,
Chuck Pennel by phone, Danny Strahan and Jim Strafuss present. The following
proceedings were had and made a matter of record:
Chuck Pennel called the meeting to order.
Nuisance Case Jeff Kenyon Request
642 Cannon Ball
Chuck Pennel made a motion to take action on Jeff Kenyon case, died for lack of second.
Jim Strafuss motioned to table the Jeff Kenyon request on Cannon Ball #642. Danny
Strahan seconded the motion. Motion passed by vote: Pennel (aye), Strafuss (aye) and
Strahan (aye).
Chuck Pennel noted that he had talked with the Taney County Health Department and
suggested the Commission use the Health Department to certify Nuisance Cases so that
we don’t have to go through the Sheriff.
Chuck Pennel motioned to request the Health Department to Certify the Nuisance Cases
that have already been turned over to the prosecutor. Jim Strafuss seconded the motion.
Motion passed by vote: Pennel (aye), Strafuss (aye) and Strahan (aye).
Chuck Pennel declared a Recess at 8:40 am.
Reconvened
Resolution Sundher Family and Kuvera Attractions
on the occasion of the Triple Treat weekend
Jim Strafuss motioned to pass a resolution congratulating the Sundher Family and Kuvera
Attractions on the occasion of the Triple Treat weekend celebration showcasing Castle of
Chaos, Hannah’s Maze of Mirrors and the Hollywood Wax Museum. Danny Strahan
seconded the motion. Motion passed by vote: Pennel (aye), Strafuss (aye) and Strahan
(aye).
BB Highway and Coon Creek Easements
Jim Strafuss motioned to accept six easements for BB Hwy and Coon Creek. Chuck
Pennel seconded the motion. Motion passed by vote: Pennel (aye), Strafuss (aye) and
Strahan (aye).
Recess
Reconvened at 3:30 in the County Clerks Office:
Donna Neeley, County Clerk appointed Jim Strafuss as temporary presiding
commissioner in the absent of Chuck Pennel. Jim Strafuss called the meeting to order.
Chuck Pennel called in and joined the meeting approximately 2 minutes after the meeting
started.
Contract with Great River for Coon Creek
Jim Strafuss motioned to approve the Coon Creek contract between Taney County and
Great River Engineering as reviewed by Bob Paulson. Danny Strahan seconded the
motion. Motion passed by vote: Pennel (aye), Strafuss (aye) and Strahan (aye).
