OFFICIAL MINUTES
September 18, 2009, 34th DAY OF
THE JULY ADJOURN TERM
The County Commission met in The Commissioner’s Hearing Room at 8:30 AM with,
Chuck Pennel and Jim Strafuss present via teleconference, and Danny Strahan present.
The following proceedings were had and made a matter of record:
AGENDA REVIEW
Commissioner Strafuss moved to move the Board Appointments and Interest and Taxes
from the Monday Morning agenda to a work session later in the day. Commissioner
Strahan seconded the motion. The motion passed by vote: Pennel (aye), Strahan (aye),
and Strafuss (aye).
RECESS

BOB PAULSON – COURT FEES
Commissioner Strafuss moved to approve fees of $2,900 to admit Bob Paulson to
practice in the Eastern District of Federal Court. Commissioner Pennel seconded the
motion. The motion passed by vote: Pennel (aye), Strahan (aye), and Strafuss (aye).
BOB PAULSON –SUBSTITUTE TRUSTEE
Commissioner Strafuss moved to substitute John Combs as trustee for the dis-
incorporation of Bradleyville. Commissioner Pennel seconded the motion. The motion
passed by vote: Pennel (aye), Strahan (aye), and Strafuss (aye).
EGIS ENGINEERING – PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
Commissioner Pennel moved to approve continued testing by EGIS of the basement area
environment not to exceed $6,800. Commissioner Strafuss seconded the motion. The
motion passed by vote: Pennel (aye), Strahan (aye), and Strafuss (aye).

TAX STATEMENT WORK SESSION
The Commission, Assessor, Collector, Clerk and Justin Gage reached an agreement on
payment of the tax and a tax abatement will be submitted through BOE in October for a
refund of the over assessment.
EMERGENCEY CONTRACT APPROVAL - HPRP
Commissioner Pennel moved to approve the HPRP contract for signature contingent on
Bob Paulson’s review of the State required contract. Commissioner Strafuss seconded the
motion. The motion passed by vote: Pennel (aye), Strahan (aye), and Strafuss (aye).
Presiding Commissioner Pennel declared a recess.
