OFFICIAL MINUTES

September 14, 2009, 32nd DAY OF
THE JULY ADJOURN TERM

The County Commission met in The Commissioner’s Hearing Room at 9:00 AM with,
Chuck Pennel, Danny Strahan present and Jim Strafuss absent. The following
proceedings were had and made a matter of record:

The Prayer was led by Sherrie R-Veltkamp followed by the Pledge of Allegiance to the
flag.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES

Commissioner Strahan moved to approve the minutes of September 8, 9 and 11, 2009.
Commissioner Pennel seconded the motion. The motion passed by vote: Pennel (aye),
Strahan (aye), and Strafuss (absent).

ACCOUNTS PAYABLE APPROVAL

Commissioner Strahan Moved to approve accounts payable as follows:

Checks: 316068 – 316183

Warrants: 5084 - 5086

Commissioner Pennel seconded the motion. The motion passed by vote: Pennel (aye),
Strahan (aye), and Strafuss (absent).

PUBLIC COMMENT

Bill Stephenson commented about the road access to Bull Shoals Lake.

James Strahan reported on the Assessor’s Association meeting held last week in Branson.

Shelia Wyatt spoke concerning Hollister Town Plaza, LLC waiver of interest and penalty
on 9/4/09 by the Commission.

SHALIMAR COURT ROAD PETITION

Commissioner Pennel moved to approve Shalimar Court as a class 6 road in the county
maintenance system contingent upon having a cul-de-sac and tin horns provided for 2
driveways by the owners to be installed by the county. Commissioner Strahan seconded
the motion. The motion passed by vote: Pennel (aye), Strahan (aye), and Strafuss
(absent).
 FALL CLEANUP DAY FOR THE COUNTY

The date for Fall Cleanup Days has been set for November 6 & 7, 2009.

ART BECK – CASEY ROAD GUARDRAIL

Art brought up a guardrail that needs repair on Casey Road. Randy Haes said it is on the
schedule for repair.

NIKKI LAWRENCE – WORK SESSION WITH COMMISSION

Commissioner Pennel moved to approve the road and bridge intergovernmental
agreement for $49,987.88 for the City of Branson. Commissioner Strahan seconded the
motion. The motion passed by vote: Pennel (aye), Strahan (aye), and Strafuss (absent).

BOB PAULSON – WORK SESSION WITH COMMISSION

Commissioner Strahan moved to go into Executive Session pursuant to RSMo. 610.021
(1,2,3). Commissioner Pennel seconded the motion. The motion passed by roll call vote:
Pennel (aye), Strahan (aye), and Strafuss (absent).

Spencer presented the application for review and the web site that has been developed to

CINTAS FIRE EQUIPMENT TEST – WEEKEND WORK

Commissioner Strahan moved to approve an additional $400 in wages for work done on
the weekend for the Cintas fire equipment test. Commissioner Pennel seconded the
motion. The motion passed by vote: Pennel (aye), Strahan (aye), and Strafuss (absent).
