OFFICIAL MINUTES
June 15, 2009 35th DAY OF
THE APRIL ADJOURN TERM
The County Commission met in the Commissioner’s Hearing Room at 9:00 AM with,
Chuck Pennel, Danny Strahan and Jim Strafuss present. The following proceedings were
had and made a matter of record:
Prayer led by Netta Sutton, followed by the pledge of allegiance.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Commissioner Pennel moved to approve the minutes of June 8, 10, and 12.
Commissioner Strahan seconded the motion. The motion passed by vote: Pennel (aye),
Strahan (aye), and Strafuss (aye).
ACCOUNTS PAYABLE
Commissioner Strahan moved to approve the following Accounts payable:
Checks: 310390 - 310501
Commissioner Strafuss seconded the motion. The motion passed by vote: Pennel (aye),
Strahan (aye), and Strafuss (aye).
TRANSFERS
Commissioner Strafuss moved to approve the transfer for the April 2009 election
expenses. Commissioner Strahan seconded the motion. The motion passed by vote:
Pennel (aye), Strahan (aye), and Strafuss (aye).
PUBLIC COMMENT
Bill Stephenson brought the issue of access roads being kept open to Taney County lakes
and contracts that exist from prior years.
CORP OF ENGINEER – LAKE ACCESS UPDATE
The Commission discussed the status of meetings with the corps concerning the access
roads.
TABLE ROCK DAM PROCLAMATION
June 14-20 was proclaimed Table Rock Dam Week in recognition of 50th year
anniversary of the Dam.
ELECTED OFFICIAL AND DEPARTMENT HEAD UPDATES
James Strahan commented on a newspaper article written by Gary Groman.
Presiding Commissioner Pennel declared a recess.

RECONVENED
10:21 AM
The Commission reconvened in the Commissioner’s Conference Room with the three
Commissioners and James Strahan, Bob Paulson, and Jim Yust present.
Commissioner Strafuss moved to go into Executive Session pursuant to RSMo.
610.021.(1), (2), (3). Commissioner Strahan seconded the motion. The motion passed by
roll call vote: Pennel (aye), Strahan (aye), and Strafuss (aye).
EXECUTIVE SESSION

Commissioner Strafuss moved to go out of Executive Session. Commissioner Pennel
seconded the motion. The motion passed by roll call vote: Pennel (aye), Strahan (aye),
and Strafuss (aye).
OUT OF EXECUTIVE SESSION

STAFF DEPARMENTAL MEETING – PURCHASING
The Commission instructed Linda to hold the final Walton Construction payment check
until we get prevailing wage affidavit documentation from Walton.
The Commission reviewed quotes for stripping the floors on the first floor and sealing
and finishing the floors.
Presiding Commissioner Pennel declared a recess.
