May 15, 2009 22nd DAY OF
THE APRIL ADJOURN TERM
The County Commission met in the Commissioners Conference Room at 8:45am with
Chuck Pennel, Danny Strahan, and Jim Strafuss present. The following proceedings were
had and made a matter of record. Also present Donna Neeley County Clerk and Bob
Paulson County Counselor.
Chuck Pennel called the meeting to order.
MOVING OF BRYANT POLLING PLACE
Donna Neeley presented the number of voters voting at the Bryant polling place and
discussed a minimum cost per voter in the largest election at over $6.00 per voter.
No decisions were made or motions made.
EXECUTIVE SESSION
Chuck Pennel made a motion to go into Executive Session pursuant to 610.021.1 and 3.
Jim Strafuss seconded the motion. Motion passed by vote: Pennel (aye), Strahan (aye),
Strafuss (aye).
Commission discussed litigation with the State Tax Commission.
Motions made may be found in executive session.
Chuck Pennel motioned to go out of executive session. Danny Strahan seconded the
motion. Motion passed by vote: Pennel (aye), Strahan (aye), Strafuss (aye), at 9:35 am.
RECESSED TILL 10:00AM
RECONVENED AT 10:07 AM
The Commission interviewed several individuals for a purchasing agent.
After interviewing 5 individuals the commission agreed to hire Linda Gifford.
