OFFICIAL MINUTES
April 30, 2009 14th DAY OF
THE APRIL ADJOURN TERM
The County Commission met in the Commissioners Conference Room at 9:15 AM with
Chuck Pennel, and Danny Strahan present and Jim Strafuss absent (trip to Jefferson City
on behalf of the County to talk to a senator concerning stimulus spending). The following
proceedings were had and made a matter of record:
Also present were Bob Paulson, Frank Preston, Jim Yust and Connie Wilson and Burt the
area engineer for MODOT.
HOLLISTER SHOP ISSUE WITH MODOT
A potential Swap/Purchase was discussed whereby the County might take over some
roads in exchange for the Hollister (Mt. Branson) MODOT facility. The Commission and
MODOT will make lists of Roads to be considered for exchange, MODOT will provide a
State average cost per mile for maintenance, MODOT will provide an appraisal of the
property, and MODOT will provide documents regarding DNR/EPA issues, cost sharing
contract for storage of salt – all to be considered for the next meeting.

RECONVENED
1:45 PM
The Commission reconvened in the Clerk’s Conference Room with Chuck Pennel and
Danny Strahan present via teleconference and Jim Strafuss absent (In Jefferson city on
County Business). Also present was Jim Yust, Deputy Clerk.
Commissioner Strahan moved to approve the DWI enforcement Grant requested by
Sheriff Russell. Commissioner Pennel seconded the motion. The motion passed by vote:
Pennel (aye), Strahan (aye) and Strafuss (absent).
Presiding Commissioner Pennel declared a recess.
