OFFICIAL MINUTES
April 17, 2009 8th DAY OF
THE APRIL ADJOURN TERM
The County Commission met in the Commissioners Hearing Room at 1:00 PM with
Chuck Pennel Danny Strahan and Jim Strafuss present. The following proceedings were
had and made a matter of record.
Also present were Bob Paulson and Jim Yust.
Commissioner Strafuss moved to go into executive session for personnel, real estate, and
auditor pursuant to RSMo. 610.021 (1), (2), (3), & (17). Commissioner Pennel seconded
motion. The motion passed by roll call vote Pennel (aye), Strafuss (aye), and Strahan
(aye).

OUT OF EXECUTIVE

The Commission agreed to have the Garden Club put in Free Trees from Jack Herschend
around the new Judicial Center if the reviving of the present trees doesn’t work. The
Garden Club would also do the design and landscaping on the south slope for free if the
County furnishes the material.
Commissioner Pennel moved to cut a check to the two property owners Mr. Brink and
Mr. Brink’s neighbor, Corey for $2,350.00 for their signing a permanent release form.
Commissioner Strafuss seconded the motion. The motion passed by vote Pennel (aye),
Strafuss (aye), and Strahan (aye).
Commissioner Strahan left the meeting at 2:37 PM due to an emergency at home
situation.
Commissioner Strafuss moved to send the letter on nuisance case #08-0024.
Commissioner Pennel seconded. The motion passed by roll call vote Pennel (aye),
Strafuss (aye), and Strahan (absent).
Presiding Commissioner Pennel declared a recess.

RECONVENED IN COUNTY CLERK’S OFFICE
3:10 PM
Present via telephone were Jim Strafuss and Chuck Pennel. Also present in the clerk’s
office were Shirley Winborne, Karen Yust, Angie Edwards and Jim Yust.
Commissioner Pennel moved to continue the law suit on the nuisance case on Fall Creek
Road and to turn the case over to the prosecuting attorney. Commissioner Strafuss
seconded the motion. The motion passed by roll call vote Pennel (aye), Strafuss (aye),
and Strahan (absent).
Presiding Commissioner Pennel declared a recess.
