Taney County Animal Control
Kennel Technician
SUMMARY:
Taney County Animal Control is seeking an individual to provide housekeeping duties,
as well as a caring and friendly approach to all visitors to the facilities.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Daily sanitation of the kennels.
2. Laundering towels, bedding and toys; as well as any additional items that are
requested.
3. Ability to administer shots to animals upon entering the shelter.
4. Prepare food and feed all animals.
5. Assist the public in adopting animals.
6. Any additional housekeeping duties that are requested.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills are required. This is acquired
through a high school diploma or a GED.
2. A current driver’s license and good driving record may be required.
3. The position will require some weekends and/or holidays.
4. Applicant must posses a reliable, hard-working and self-starting work ethic.
5. Any experience is a plus.
