County Auditor

The Auditor is the budget and accounting officer for the county as established by RSMo 55. This office establishes, monitors, and enforces the county's budget ensuring fiscal responsibility for the citizens of Taney County. The Auditor presents a budget report to the commission regarding the county's financial status on a monthly basis. We perform internal audits of county offices as well as audit monthly reports from each office that collects money. Purchase orders are approved by this office certifying there is an unencumbered balance to pay county appropriations. It is also the responsibility of this office to maintain a current inventory listing of all county property costing over $1000. Currently the Auditor's office administers and maintains purchase and fuel cards for county employees. Our goal is to provide these services and information to every department so that we may all better serve the citizens of Taney County.
