TANEY COUNTY PURCHASING DEPARTMENT


The Purchasing Department is responsible for writing RFP’s / RFB’s, and for publishing Bid Notices. The department is responsible for bidding services and supplies that exceed $6,000.00, while also approving all Purchase Orders.



Specifications within Bids are the responsibility of the Department requesting said Bid. Questions concerning details on specifications should be directed to the Department for which the product / service will be used, NOT Purchasing.

The Taney County Director of Purchasing investigates needs for supplies requested by officers. County Officers, Officials or employees shall make known to the Director of Purchasing any and all requirements that may exist for the purchase of any and all articles needed for the proper conduct or duties of their office or position.

The Director of Purchasing considers quality and cost before making a purchase recommendation to the Taney County Commission on larger purchases. She is guided by the highest standards of professional purchasing practices and dedicated to providing the latest procurement techniques in a continuing effort to achieve the best value for the public funds entrusted to her. She will always represent Taney County to the business community in the best possible light while administering Taney County Purchasing Policies and Processes consistently, openly, uniformly, and fairly in total compliance with all governing Missouri Statutes.

RSMo statute 50.757 further defines the duties of the Purchasing Department.
