RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE RECORDER:
The Office of the Recorder of Deed maintains and preserves some of our community’s most important records.
The Taney County Recorder’s office is the repository for all Taney County land transactions. The Recorder's duties include processing, recording and delivering back to the submitter all transfers of property and related documents in a timely manner*.
We are also responsible for indexing, scanning, microfilming and providing certified copies of surveys, plats, deeds, deeds of trust, assignments, release deeds, powers of attorney, deed restrictions, federal and state tax liens, and other instruments of writing.
Our doors are open to the constituents of Taney County during regular business hours.

The Recorder's Office also files military discharges upon request and issues marriage licenses
